After wanting to spend a bit of time with Sean Ono Lennon, the band temporarily dispersed, and Lennon stayed out of the music industry for two years, meaning the others had to as well. However, Ringo still wanted to record some tracks, so he recorded four and released an EP. That was all for two years.
